Getting Ready For The Next Book Release

If I had to post an image of myself right now, it would look a bit like this:

The following words would be written on each of the balls:

  • Promotion for The Right Chord
  • Prepare Forbidden Signs for Contest Entry ( I could never forget about this YA, especially since my daughter asks me about it on a regular basis)
  • Finish First Draft of Fountain Creek Homecoming – Due date, August 31st

These are just a few items on my list of To-Dos from my writing-only world.  Summer seems to be slipping away from me. Already I’m starting to think about back to school stuff. I know…time to take a breather and stop to smell the roses, right?

Some of those roses are the blessings in my life…my wonderful family, my general health and the health of my family (not gonna talk about the return of the pinched nerve, nope, I’m not gonna) and my ability to live in a world where I am free to create. That world includes moments to squeal in delight over the little milestones, or joys, of being a writer. Much like, how I simply LOVE the cover for The Right Chord, and how much I can’t wait for the world to see it. In fact, I just saw the artwork for the COVER REVEAL scheduled for Thursday. I’m planning a few sneak peeks prior to that. Until then…here’s a little teaser.

Just a bit on the set up – Kit is at her sister’s bachelorette party in a bar on a street that looks a bit like this pic.

Spring lake street

Kit turned to see what caused the stir. Vince Iuliano walked in followed closely by his brother Rafe. Her throat went dry. In what felt like slow motion, she tipped her glass to her lips and drained what remained of her beer. “I’m gonna need a re-fill.”

“I’ll have whatever one you’re not having,” someone said.

“One is married, and the other one is mine.” She slammed her empty beer glass on the table and licked her lips. “This is for you, little sister. Watch and learn.”

Over the next three days while waiting for the Cover Reveal, I’m going to place a puzzle piece of the cover here on my blog along with a trivia question.  If you answer all three questions correctly, you will be entered into a drawing to win a signed, printed copy of The Right Chord.

Have a great day!

Sounds like a great contest, RoseAnn. And I adore that snippet of the scene. I’d definitely want to read on. : )

Hi Robena, So glad that you think so. I’m a bit partial to Kit and Vince…lots of history there. I love the full scene from the book, and I hope you will too!

Hello RoseAnn, I only discovered your Audubon Springs Series earlier this year, read book 1, ordered book 2 while I was still finishing the first one. Thought I’d do the same with book 3 only to discover it wasn’t out out. So am now really looking forward to the release!

    • RoseAnn DeFranco says:

  4. I want to see the cover now too! RoseAnn, you are so on top of preparing for new releases. I write the book and send it out on a wing and a prayer. My “copy” and “ideas” are all terrible (at least to me) especially my copy!! This is excellent.

    • RoseAnn DeFranco says:

      Hi Cynthia,

The first puzzle piece will go up today. These brothers are so competitive. I have to give each one their due! Thanks for stopping by!

RoseAnn, I am in exactly the same boat–juggling the oars and passengers, but with a bouquet of roses in my lap. Hang in there my friend–such exciting things happening! Can’t wait to hear about Fountain Creek!

    • RoseAnn DeFranco says:

Hi Jenna, I think of you all the time while doing the family, writing, working dance juggle. I will throw you a life preserver should you need one!

Yea, RoseAnn! I’m so excited to see your new cover! The puzzle pieces are a great idea.

It’s amazing you are managing to be so productive. I’ve just about given up the ghost on the summer. When do the kids go back to school? Can’t be soon enough.

Take care of that pinched nerve and give yourself time for YOU!

    Jaye

    • RoseAnn DeFranco says:

Thank you so much, Jaye! I heard you on where to find the time. I’m back to getting up at 5:30 to get some news pages of the WIP in every day before heading to work. Not the best schedule, but one I have to keep if I want to finis Fountain Creek Homecoming by the end of August!

Thanks for stopping by and for your support!

Hugs back to you, my friend!

      RoseAnn
